Brushthralls Update :: Filling the Bloat Thrall Gap
Posted by Serpent_Six on Friday, December 10, 2004 (16:40:21) (735 reads)
A phrase heard round the world is the 'Khador Gap'. With the impending release of the Cryx Bloat Thrall, a similar phrase will begin to filter through the Warmachine audience, the 'Bloat Thrall Gap'.
Dead Dogg was lucky enough to receive one of these models in time to prep an article on dealing with this issue. So, do your homework by reading the article, and you'll have no problem at all Filling the Bloat Thrall Gap, once the minis hit your FLGS.

GenCon SoCal 2004 Pictures and Photos
Posted by yrret on Monday, December 06, 2004 (12:24:15) (1339 reads)
RagingGaijin.comMore awesome opinions and observations to come of course, and more pics even, but for now our first coverage is in with some pics of the con from CJ Cummings over at RaginGaijin.com. Special thanks to Tom and Morgan as well for the coverage. CJ took tons of video at the con, and interviewed just about everyone there it seems. Look for it in here in installments as CJ edits it down into juicy goodness. But for now, Pop into the Galleries from GenCon SoCal 2004.

DSA/Armalion painting competition at Ral Partha Europe
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 06, 2004 (03:36:05) (829 reads)
from www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk
PAINTING COMPETITION
We are please to announce our first competition, a DSA miniature painting competition!
To enter, all you need to do is email a photograph of a DSA or Armalion miniature that you have painted, or provide us with a link to a site featuring your miniature.
We will be running the competition until February 2005, to give everyone plenty of time to get hold of a miniature, (possibly as a Christmas present!) and then paint it up. The best paint job as judged by us will be the winner ( we may open this to public voting if we absolutely can't decide). There may also be runner up prizes depending upon the number of entries received, we will keep you posted.
Now for the important bit, the prizes! The winner will receive 4 Armalion Boxed sets (of 10 minis), of their choice of either Good or Evil. That's a retail value of around 110 Euros, 80 Uk pounds, or 150 US Dollars.
This competition is open to entrants from any country, we will cover shipping costs.

He's out and he's painted... Talk about self-gratification!
Posted by Jester on Monday, December 06, 2004 (03:31:18) (714 reads)

The Lord Jester, Mercenary miniature is being released now in December by Reaper Miniatures, Inc. I got an advanced copy to paint up... how many people can say they got to paint themselves???
Check out Jesterspeed Studios in the Hall of White for the details of the whole story... Oh, and a couple of other miniatures, too...
Note: Hiya Robert,
Sorry I am not as timely as could be, but the whole GenCon SoCal thing is come and gone, and it will take a bit to get the old boat back on course. Congrats on the mini, it came out great!

Auction madness and throne of judgement
Posted by mahon on Monday, December 06, 2004 (03:30:01) (663 reads)
X-mas is coming, so I decided o unload my miniatures shelf and put something on eBay again! This time it's FIVE miniatures from Chest of Colors.
Go check them and try your luck if you only want! One of them is pretty special, but you won't know if you don't check
And is this all? Noooo....
There's also one new mini in the gallery. Well, calling it a mini is a bit unfair when you know the size of the thing. But pictures will tell more than words, so visit Chest of Colors

High Valley Miniatures has been updated with 4 High Elf Repeater Bolt Throwers from the army project. They were painted a while back, but I think they're worth a look anyways
/Anja
Note: Hiya Anja, definitely worth a look I say. Congrats on the Fungal Award too. Well deserved etc etc.
